Lekena daughters challenge Abubaker’s lease in court

Four daughters of the late Tšoanelo Lekena are challenging a lease issued to businessman Mahommed Abubaker over a commercial property in Hlotse, claiming their father was allocated the plot in 1978 and bequeathed it to them before his death around 1980. The case before the Leribe Magistrate Court involves disputes over property transfer documents and occupation claims, with the daughters asserting that Abubaker's lease registration in 2001 could not have been valid since their father died decades earlier.
