WASCO sued over ‘withdrawn’ M25 million contract
Local contractor Tsoelopele Investment Holdings has sued the Water and Sewerage Company (WASCO) and the Ministry of Natural Resources for allegedly reneging on a M25 million contract for water meters that it was appointed to supply in 2018. The company claims it incurred substantial costs preparing to execute the contract based on repeated assurances from WASCO officials, but the contract was never signed and WASCO later changed its procurement arrangements without consultation.
