Two men jailed five years for cocaine possession
A Maseru Magistrate has sentenced two Lesotho men, Khopolo Thejane and Sephoso Bokhatsi, to five years' imprisonment without the option of a fine after their conviction for cocaine possession. Magistrate Puseletso McPherson rejected their pleas for leniency, stating that drug trafficking is destroying families and communities in Lesotho, and that imprisonment without fine options is necessary to deter dealers.
