Matsoso, Mokete clash again

Chief of Police Advocate Borotho Matsoso has transferred Deputy Commissioner of Police Paseka Mokete from his position as head of the Criminal Investigation Division to head of a newly created Logistics Department, a move Mokete's lawyers argue is unlawful and amounts to demotion. Mokete has threatened court action and given Matsoso three days to reverse the decision, citing violations of the Police Service Act 1998 that vest authority for Deputy Commissioner deployments with the Minister, not the Chief of Police.
