Knives out for RFP chair Kobeli

Founding shareholders of Mogopa Mining have approached the Lesotho High Court to challenge a November 2023 decision by Natural Resources Minister Mohlomi Moleko that gave the government a 20 percent stake in the company and appointed RFP chairperson Teboho Kobeli to its board. The shareholders allege the minister unlawfully altered the company's ownership structure and describe the action as corporate hijacking that has paralyzed mining operations at Thaba-Kholo in Butha-Buthe.
