Judgment in Khetheng murder deferred
The judgment in the murder trial of Police Constable Mokalekale Khetheng has been postponed from August 3 to August 24, 2026, as Judge Charles Hungwe indicated he had not completed writing the ruling. Four police officers, including former Hlotse Police Station commander Senior Superintendent Thabo Tšukulu, face five charges related to Khetheng's March 2016 death, with the prosecution arguing the murder was premeditated while the defence maintains the case lacks sufficient evidence.
