Govt launches M923 million Ramarothole solar project
The Lesotho government has launched the second phase of the Ramarothole Solar Energy Project, a M923 million investment financed by China that will add 50MW of electricity generation capacity, bringing the facility's total output to 80MW. The 18-month construction project is expected to create 400 jobs and reduce Lesotho's dependence on expensive electricity imports by supplementing domestic generation.
