Fighting corruption requires more than promises

The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences Director-General has acknowledged that corruption remains a significant challenge in Lesotho, with the country scoring 37 out of 100 on Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index. The article argues that meaningful anti-corruption progress requires institutional reforms, political will, prevention measures, and accountability across government, civil society, and citizens rather than rhetoric alone.
