Baokunyaoda transforms wool and mohair farmers’ fortunes

Baokunyaoda, a wool and mohair broker, has begun operations in Lesotho after five months, offering farmers faster payments within days rather than months, reduced transportation costs by routing products directly to China instead of through South African auctions, and plans to establish processing factories in the country within three years. Farmers from woolsheds in Mokhotlong, Quthing, Thaba-Tseka and Butha-Buthe report satisfaction with the company's efficiency, timely payments and value-for-money approach, which has significantly lowered costs and eliminated previous FMD-related disruptions.
