The High Court in Leribe has sentenced 34-year-old Sekhompa Lekhotla to 21 years imprisonment for the 2011 murder of 19-year-old herd boy Limpho Jopi, a case that remained unresolved for over 15 years. The conviction was based on the victim's dying declarations, identification evidence, spent cartridges, and the defendant's contradictory accounts, despite the absence of an eyewitness and the firearm not being recovered.
